Looking eastwards with number 141 on the corner of Portland Avenue. Largely built during the 1920s with the exception of 137-139 which were completed by the late 1930s.

A view of the road heading east from Portland Avenue before it turns north to Portland Road, see Image, with Woodhouse Close in view at the corner. The road in the foreground was once the site of Wish Cottage which was located in the south east corner of a detached portion of Portslade parish. The cottage was built sometime in the 19th century, it isn't marked on the 1813 OS map but does appear on Portslade's 1840 tithe map. The cottage survived until 1927 before it was demolished to make way for Woodhouse Road. Located in the north east corner of Image and enclosed by fences on all sides. A former circus elephant is believed to have been buried within the grounds of the park during the early 20th century hence the elephant themed sculpture on the left, the similarly shaped playground rides beyond and the arched shelter in the distance.

Now located on the western corner of Portland Avenue.
