Clarendon Road, Hove
A residential road linking Goldstone Road with Sackville Road, the A2023, that was developed as far as Goldstone Street by the mid 1870s and completed by the end of the decade. As can be seen the northern side was completely redeveloped as far as the railway in the late 1960s. The flats in view from right to left are Livingstone House, Goldstone House, Ellen House and Clarendon House respectively. The road is a bit of a rat run and can often be busy.

The Agora, Ellen Street, Hove
Located on the corner of Goldstone Street it was formerly known as Intek House, it was refurbished around 2004 from a 70s non-descript shabby building to this rather shiny new office block. See http://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume14/source/jg_14_112.html for a view of the empty site around 1970.

Clarendon House
One of a set of high rise flats that were built in the 1960s to replace the cramped terraced housing that occupied the land bordered by Clarendon Road, Sackville Road, Goldstone Villas and Conway Street. The latter is also the street in view heading south to join Clarendon Road.

Home to a number of businesses and located on the corner of Goldstone Street and built in 1970-71, see http://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume14/source/jg_14_112.html for a view taken in 1970 from the south. To the right in the distance are Image The building is looking its age and i wouldn't be too surprised if it was replaced in the next few years.
