Hove: Sir Jack Hobbs lived here
Sir Jack Hobbs, the most prolific batsman of all time (61,670 runs and 199 centuries) lived in this house on Palmeira Avenue. Gwydyr Mansions, Church Road
The block lies between Holland Road and Rochester Gardens with this small frontage onto Church Road. In fact this part was once a bank but is now residential with ground floor offices and a barbers to the left.

Towards the Floral Clock
The clock is marked by the mound of purple in centre (see Image for a closer view) and was constructed to mark the coronation of Elizabeth II. This small garden is bounded the B2066's one way system with St John's Church at the far western end.
