Second Avenue, Hove
This is a street of individually designed late 19th century houses. They are now mainly converted into flats but would once have been single households, and very affluent ones. Car parking would never have even been considered when these places were being built but it is not easy now, even with 3 rows (1 each side, 1 in the middle).

Kings House
Originally the Princes Hotel but was converted into offices for the South Eastern Electricity Board. In the 1980s the rear was extended and the building was taken over by the council who still use it as offices. Taken at sunset.

Kings House, Queens Gardens, Hove
Built in the 1870s initially as seven mansion houses and a hotel on the western end known as Princes Hotel which would eventually expand into all the houses. During the war it was used by the Royal Navy and after it was acquired by Seeboard as its local headquarters. The electricity company remodelled the building in the early 1980s and later sold the building to Brighton & Hove Council in 1996. The council decided to release the property about five years ago as a cost-cutting measure eventually and eventually sold it to a company who intend to convert the block into flats.
