Green, Grand Avenue
This gives an idea of how grand this avenue was when originally constructed. Even today the road is wide enough to be able to park cars on each side as well as two rows in the middle.

Looking between the beach huts to the grand Victorian houses across King's Lawn. There are two sections to King's Gardens, this one between Third Avenue and Grand Avenue and the western part between Third and Fourth Avenues.

Queen Victoria Statue, Grand Avenue
Erected in 1897 for the diamond jubilee. The background gives some idea of the expanse of Grand Avenue and also of the architectural destruction that has gone on, the only road in the area that has lost its original buildings.
