St Ann's Court
Standing on the corner of Somerhill Road and Nizells Avenue and opposite St Ann's Wells Gardens from which it takes its name. Its most famous resident was Lord Alfred Douglas, Oscar Wilde's 'Bosie' who lived here between 1935-44. The flats themselves were built in the early 1930s. This view looks east from Somerhill Road.

Chatsworth Square
New development built during the 1990s and now occupying the blank space south of the B2120. Prior to this the site had been occupied by a school and a factory which at one point made ice. The sculpture appears to be of a carpet but has no record of what it is called or who it is by (will rectify this as soon as I find out). This view looks south west towards the exit of this cul-de-sac with the houses of Holland Road viewable beyond the entrance.

Somerhill Road
Minor road linking Davigdor Road to the north with Lansdowne Road to the south. The Charter Medical Centre is on the right whilst the silver car beyond the crossing pedestrian is having huge problems trying to get out.

Towards the exit, St Anne's Well Gardens.
The square contains the north western portion of this park with a long and interesting history. The spring in the southern portion of the park burst into life in the 18th century just at a time when spas were becoming fashionable. A pump house was erected in 1800 and closed towards the end of the century as the spring was reduced to a trickle again. By that point financier Sir Isaac Goldsmid had acquired the land and landscaped the park and it was his descendants who sold the area to Hove Council who opened it to the public in 1913. The park also has a part to play in cinema history as George Smith, who acquired the leasehold in 1892, made short films in one of the buildings in the grounds and in the process produced the first cinematic close up shot in history. This view looks towards the western entrance of the gardens with the tennis courts to the right and a just viewable lych gate that leads to a scented garden for the blind on the left. Beyond the entrance the line of sight follows Somerhill Avenue before ending at Palmeira Court.
