50-59, Western Road, Hove
Originally a department store, Hills of Hove, which was founded by William Hill at number 58 in 1839 and gradually extended eastwards over the rest of the 19th century. The individual shopfronts were merged and extensively rebuilt in 1921 and the premises continued as a department store until its closure in 1982. Since then the ground floor has been subdivided into individual units including Starbucks and Sainsbury's whilst the upper floors have been converted into flats. See http://www.photosbrightonandhove.org.uk/hills-of-hove-shortly-before-closure.html for an image taken in 1982 before closure.

The Biscuit Factory, Holland Road
Originally known as the Wick Inn, then Nan Tucks Tavern now known as the Biscuit Factory I think this is because a small Lyons bakery used to be nearby. The inn is on the south east corner of the Holland Road/B2066 crossroads.

Brunswick Place
Built as part of the Brunswick development between 1824-29. Brunswick Place is the northward extension of Brunswick Square and the houses here were originally intended for the not quite so well off who couldn't afford the apartments by the sea. These days many are subdivided into flats and bedsits. Looking across Western Road, the B2066.
