Longridge Court, Longridge Avenue, Saltdean
The flats above Longridge Court whilst the shops below are officially numbers 26-30 Longridge Avenue. Number 26 is the Post Office which was originally at 67, number 28 is an estate agent whilst 30 is now subdivided between a barbers and Saltdean Stamps which is officially 30a. The building is catching the late afternoon sun.

Housing Saltdean post office as well as 3 other shops on the eastern side of the road. The angle gives some idea of the steepness of the hill.

67-69, Longridge Avenue, Saltdean
Number 67 is Gullen's a small licensed bar that has been here since at least the mid 1980s whilst 69 is H.R Hardware which has also been here for some years.

Spanish Lady Pub, Saltdean
The Spanish Lady, eventually to become Saltdean's first public house started off life as a considerably smaller private residence which had Spanish tiles incorporated into the roof and three beautiful blue and yellow glazed fireplaces which had been bought over by the Estate Companies managing director from Spain. It ran as tea rooms for a while before opening as licensed premises in 1956 http://www.saltdean.info/postwar.htm
