Old Signpost, Upper Dicker, East Sussex
Taken In the early 1970s, it would seem that some of the villages indicated have moved further away. The signpost remains in situ today, but Hellingly is now an extra mile distant, Seaford is now at 9 miles. It now takes longer for the residents of Upper Dicker to travel to these places. Everyone should do their shopping in Berwick as it is now a half mile nearer than it used to be. I blame the government. They've no right shifting these villages about like this!
