Bridge over Cuckmere backwater
This is the river course that bypasses the old mill, but seems to take the lesser flow. There is a 54 miles from Bow Bells milepost at the left.

Metal plate attached to wooden post by the A271, in parish of HELLINGLY (WEALDEN District), Horsebridge, West side of bridge, beside cycle path/footpath, on North side of road. The Disused Mill at Upper Horsebridge, Sussex
A serious fire occurred sometime between 1908 and 1910. Horsebridge Mill was then rebuilt as a large roller mill. It continued working until 1969.
