Old Workshops off High Street
The land between High Street and North Street was once filled with small fields and workshops. Now much of it has been concreted over for either car parks or shopping centres. These two survive near the northern end next to Carriers Path but have to be accessed by the C-op supermarket service road.

Entrance to The Quintins
A mixture of old and new in the High Street, a 17th century house to the left and a 1980s shopping centre to the right. The shopping centre was named after the politician Quintin Hogg better known as Lord Hailsham. It is home to the Co-op supermarket.
