Bishopstone Station
View westward, towards Newhaven and Lewes; Lewes - Newhaven - Seaford line. Station built 26/9/38 to the west of Bishopstone Beach Halt, which latter was not closed until 1/1/42.

Bishopstone Station
Two ladies stroll to the end of the platform and out to Marine Parade. The other platform has been out of use since 1975. Newhaven can be seen in the distance with the South Downs rising behind that.

Bishopstone Station
This is, in effect, the back way into the station but it is more convenient for the beach. The architecture has a decidedly 1930s look about it which is to be expected - the station was built in 1938.
