Front Piece
The name of the field according to the 1843 tithe map and part of Hooe Level. The field is bounded by the old course of Waller's Haven, which lies to the right, and Sluice Lane, beyond the hedgerow to the left.

East Stream
Having travelled between two small former eyots the stream turns ninety degrees again as it heads towards the sea. The turn runs parallel with one on Waller's Haven that in all likelihood suggests a diversion caused by a lengthening shingle bar.

House Piece
The name of the field according to the 1843 tithe map and part of Hooe Level. The field lies immediately to the east of the Star Inn and may well have belonged to the original sluice house when built. East Stream's banks can just be made out whilst beyond is High Field, a former clay eyot that once dotted the watery marsh landscape.

Gate and trees
The field to the right of the one accessed by the gate and stile is an elevated area of rough grassland dotted with small trees and bushes, with some surprising species.
