Martello tower, Leyland Road
Constructed in 1806 as one of a series of towers lining the south coast to defend against invasion by Napoleonic forces, it was converted to residential use c. 1985 and stands out among the surrounding dwellings.

Castle Inn - Pevensey Bay
The High Street at Pevenesy Bay is one way, with traffic coming from Eastbourne turning left at the Castle Inn.
Pevensey Bay is an old fishing village founded in the 1600's as Wallsend, the end of the sea wall from Eastbourne.
