Hampden Park Station, Eastbourne
Opened in 1888 as Willingdon, the then nearest settlement which was 2 miles away. Renamed Hampden Park in 1903 after the park of the same name was laid out and the first few housing estates of Hampden Park itself were constructed. The East Coast Line heads into Eastbourne from Brighton and London then back out again to continue on to Hastings and Ashford. Consequently, some stopping services will call at this station twice.
