Moved into the old Army & Navy Stores building in 1999. Picture taken from outside the former Co-op department store building which is currently empty. Terminus Road is the main shopping street, much of which has been pedestrianised, and links the station to the sea. The road in the foreground is part of the A259 one way system around the town centre.

Eastbourne features [50]
In Trinity Trees is this group of three K6 telephone boxes, designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1043620 Eastbourne is a town and seaside resort on the south coast of East Sussex, some 54 miles south of London and about 19 miles east of Brighton. Although there is evidence of settlement from the Stone Age onwards, Eastbourne remained an area of small rural settlements until the railway arrived in 1849. A resort, built "for gentlemen by gentlemen", was planned and the town's growth accelerated from a population of less than 4,000 in 1851 to nearly 35,000 by 1891. Tourism is a large and important part of the economy of the town.
