Front Field (1)
The name of the field according to East Dean's 1844 tithe map. The field was split in two by the construction of Gilbert's Drive in the late 19th century. This is the eastern part of the field see Image for the western half. The houses on the ridge are Copdene on the left and Cophall to the right.

East Dean Village Hall
Opened in 2000 to replace the older smaller building that lies next to the A259. Also provided was a large free car park for those wishing to visit the picturesque village and its environs.
