Swanborough House, University of Sussex
This is number three of three halls of residences built in the last couple of years and located opposite Bramber House on the eastern side of Refectory Road. The area was formerly a car park.

Refectory Road, University of Sussex
The refectory is on the left of the road, to the right are new buildings erected on the site of a former car park. The road beyond leads to a number of halls of residence that lie at the back of the university campus. The building work itself illustrates the piecemeal development that has gone on since the university's inception in 1963 on the site of a former downland park.

Similar view to Image though the bushes have been replaced by the boards on the right as the university is in the process of constructing more halls of residences to add to the three further on on the right that were constructed a couple of years ago. Bramber House is on the left which houses the refectory, a few shops, laundry, and conference facilities.

Refectory Road, University of Sussex
Heading northwards from the junction of Boiler House Hill and Arts Road. The refectory is on the left which houses a number of cafes and restaurants as well as a few shops and services such as the launderette and post office plus conference facilities. On the right are three new buildings known collectively as Swanborough which are student halls of residences. The road itself is the only access for further halls of residences to the north. Term time ended a week ago hence the lack of activity on campus.
