The main thoroughfare for the estates that were built to the east of Patcham between the 1930s and 1950s beginning at London Road, the A23 in the west and ending at Ditchling Road at Old Boat corner in the east. This view looks down the hill towards Carden Primary School.

Old Boat Walk, Hollingbury
Small cul de sac off Carden Avenue built in the last twenty years or so. The road is named after the local nickname for the nearby junction of Ditchling Road and Coldean Lane where an old upturned boat used to serve as a shepherds hut.

Retail Units, Hollingbury Industrial Estate
Marks & Spencer, Argos and Next occupy units on Carden Avenue. On a normal day this shot would be obscured by a number of parked cars though on this day the persistant snow has kept many away.

Old Boat Corner Community Centre
The building was constructed by the same building company that converted an old factory into ASDA in the mid 1980s and opened in 1989. It serves the residents of Coldean, Patcham and Hollingbury and is named after the local name for the junction of Ditchling Road and Coldean Lane.
