A very attractive village, but difficult to get views that are not spoiled by parked cars!

The Village Shop, Amberley
This shop, on High Street, is the only general retail outlet in the village, although there is a pub and pottery. The shop has many interesting foods for sale and is well worth a visit.

School Road
"Dear Amberley" as it is affectionately christened by the official village history, is a lovely hodge-podge of styles, materials, periods and flower draped walls. No two houses are the same, stone, brick, thatch, split flint, tile, timber, whatever happened to be available at the time. A very peaceful village where you feel you have stepped back in time.
