Amberley Castle - Water feature
This water feature runs parallel to the main western perimeter wall of Amberley Castle and just outside of it. It is of course quite a new addition to the grounds of this ancient castle. The steps seen to the left lead back into the central courtyard area of the castle. See shared descriptions below:

Amberley Castle, seen from the west at dusk
From the village the castle may seem merely picturesque, but from down here at the edge of the water meadows it is formidable. It was built for a bishop - you wonder who his enemies were. This is only the second day of March - the wild swans are still out there on the floods, and at dusk the world is bleak and wintry.
