The Lucern Croft
The name of the field according to the 1839 tithe map that has been extended to include Image to the north and Image to the north-west, the expansion here is recent as the boundary was marked on my modern map. The field is named after lucern which is also known as purple medick or alfalfa in the USA. Ford Cottages are to the left and Ford Place to the right.

Footpath to Ford
Travelling through a small wood north of the Tarmac factory and across a field of rape before turning south midway across the field. The unnamed house is on Ford Lane near Newhouse Farm. Another footpath heads north towards Lower Farm.
