The Ormsby Centre, 59 East Street (B2187)
Now a specialist private nursing home, the building was once known as “Green Lady Hostel”. It was purchased by Lily Montagu CBE (22 December 1873–22 January 1963) & Mrs Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence (1867–1954), an organizer with the Pankhursts of the English Suffrage Union, as a seaside holiday house for female factory workers.
