Brighton was the first place in the country to get real-time cycling counters after winning funding from the European Union and Cycling England. Not operating today though.

London Road
The main A23 route into Brighton is running at a crawl after 10cm of snow fell overnight and is still going here though it will stop in the next 20 minutes. Beyond is Surrenden Field, a public park.

Entrance, Surrenden Field
Next to the junction of London Road, the A23, and Surrenden Crescent. Around 10cm of snow fell overnight and the last of it was falling here before dying out about ten minutes further on.

Surrenden Field
Public open space that fronts onto London Road north of the junction with Surrenden Crescent. Once a field belonging to Home Farm, whose farmhouse still stands to the north at the junction of London Road and Peacock Lane. Taken not long after sunrise the snow had been falling since 11pm the previous evening and was currently going through its last heavy shower before stopping around 8.30am.

At the south eastern end of the park allowing a through route from Surrenden Crescent. The traffic on the A23 is just visible through the snow shower in the distance.
