St John's Church, Preston
Built in 1902 it became the parish church 6 years later. In the foreground are the snow covered Preston Vicarage Lawns laid out in 1935 on the site of the old vicarage.

Sainsbury's Local, Preston Road, Preston
Originally the site of Brittains Garage which later became Caffyns until the first decade of this century, whereupon it was converted into a small supermarket. Located on the corner of Preston Road and Lauriston Road this areasuffered heavy bomb damage during World War Two.
