Blakers Park, Preston, Brighton
Located between Cleveland Road and Southdown Road the land was bequeathed as a gift by former mayor Sir John Blaker and opened in 1894. Blaker was also responsible for the park's clock tower which opened a couple of years later. The park is built on a slope with a children's playground at the southern end, then some tennis courts and north of an east-west footpath are a couple of open spaces, a fenced off section specifically for children that bars dogs, and an open section to the north that anyone can use. This view takes in the fenced off section in the foreground and open section in the distance.
