High Street
Looking northwards past Holmbush on the left and East Lodge shrouded with scaffolding. The former was built in the early 18th century but was extensively refurbished at the beginning of the 19th. The latter dates from around 1850 and was the lodge for Findon Manor until its drive was separated by the construction of the bypass in 1938.

The current building dates from 1939 and replaced an older inn of the same which was located roughly in the car park to the rear. The original was demolished to make way for the Findon Bypass.

Park Seed Field (3)
The name of the field according to Findon's 1839 tithe map. This is the north east section of Image that has been split by the rest by the construction of the bypass in 1938 which lies beyond the trees at the far side. One wonders how long this small plot of land will remain undeveloped. See also Image

East Lodge, High Street
For the last couple of months this building has been shrouded with scaffolding which has now been removed revealing a fine gothic styled building that was constructed in the 1850s as a lodge for Findon Place. Since 1938 it has been cut off from the latter by the Findon Bypass as such losing its original purpose.
