Ivydore Avenue, Durrington
A residential road that links Arundel Road, the A27, with New Road. The road was first laid out in the 1920s and initially provided access for the large number of nurseries that sprang up in the vicinity. Housing was developed after the Second World War at the southern end and gradually worked its way northwards as small closes and estates replaced the former market gardens and nurseries.

The Shortlands
The name of the field according to Durrington's 1839 tithe map that lies to the immediate west of Swandean Hospital and the suburb of High Salvington. The field and everything north of the A27 is now part of the South Downs National Park so should be spared development.

Adur Avenue, Durrington
Part of a residential housing estate built in the 1960s on former farmland and nurseries. This road is the main feeder road of the estate and runs in a horseshoe from New Road to Humber Avenue. See also Image Then junction with Image is on the immediate left.
