Entrance to World War Two Underground Bunker
The bunker is situated near to Highdown Tower. The notice reads;- We believe this bunker was used by General Montgomery during the D-Day invasion (Operation Overlord) June 1944.

Highdown Towers
Built in 1820 and the home of Frederick and Lady Stern who laid out Highdown Gardens in a disused chalk pit next door. The building and gardens passed to Worthing Borough Council in 1967 and the former is now a hotel and popular wedding venue.
