Grosvenor Casino, Grand Junction Road
Originally opened as the Savoy Cinema in 1930 before becoming the ABC during the 1960s and again in the last two years before its closure in 1999. The whole complex which also fronts out onto East Street has been preserved and converted into bars, restaurants and a casino. The small lane to the left is Brills Lane which preserves the memory of Brills Baths which occupied the site from 1823 to 1929 before its demolition and replacement by the current building.

Located on the corner of Pool Valley and built in 1840 later becoming a succession of hotels but now cheap accommodation for travellers who cannot afford them.

Pool Valley Bus Station, Brighton
Incredibly, this is the main bus station for Brighton. For many years there has been talk of a new bus station elsewhere, but this has never materialised. Pool Valley can be a grim place, especially on a Sunday afternoon in November when it's pouring with rain. There is little shelter and very few facilities.
