Brighton Town Hall _ Main Entrance
The present Town Hall was built in 1830-2 by the town commissioners on the site of the former market in Bartholomews, the foundation stone being laid in April 1830 by T.R.Kemp . The building was designed in classical style by Thomas Cooper, in the form of a Greek cross but the southern wing was never erected because the necessary land could not be purchased.
The Town Hall is now a listed building of four storeys, with giant fluted Ionic columns forming porticoes above the entrances. It has proved inadequate for the purposes of modern local government, however, and municipal offices have been scattered throughout the town centre for many years. http://www.mybrightonandhove.org.uk/page_id__8911_path__0p115p188p1685p.aspx

Alley Between East Street and Little East Street
Small alley linking the two streets but made famous by the film Quadrophenia as the place where Phil Daniels did something naughty with Leslie Ash. The actual small yard is to the right of Chris from Margate's graffiti, a spot often visited and left with plenty of graffiti to mark that visit. Turning left will take you to East Street.

Dr Brighton's, Kings Road, Brighton
Located on the corner of Little East Street the pub dates from the 1780s when it opened as the Star & Garter Hotel. During the 19th century it ran an advertising campaign where Dr Brighton recommended visiting for refreshment and the name stuck being initially applied to the hotel's bar and later to the whole building itself. The buildings looking out onto Little East Street include part of the Jurys Inn Waterfront Hotel on the left and council offices straight ahead. Both were built in the late 1980s as part of the same development.
