Advertising pillar, Marine Parade
An early form of advertising hoarding presumably; this pillar is covered with adverts. The main one is for Brunchies, a takeaway sandwich and coffee shop at 116 Montague Street. A nice touch is the "Welcome to Worthing" near the top of the pillar.

Busy streets of Worthing: Marine Parade towards the Pavilion
My first visit to Worthing where a relation once lived. I always imagined she lived in an elegant house, and my first impressions of the town seem to confirm this. Alas though she lived there many years, and I imagine moved there to a peaceful seaside resort, the passing of time caught up with her eventually in more than one sense, for in her nineties she was knocked down by a car in the now busy streets, and died as a result.
