Busy streets of Worthing: Marine Parade towards the Pavilion
My first visit to Worthing where a relation once lived. I always imagined she lived in an elegant house, and my first impressions of the town seem to confirm this. Alas though she lived there many years, and I imagine moved there to a peaceful seaside resort, the passing of time caught up with her eventually in more than one sense, for in her nineties she was knocked down by a car in the now busy streets, and died as a result.

Sea-front car park
Seen from the promenade on Marine Parade in the golden light of an autumn afternoon. If you want a parking space with a sea-view then the entrance is in Augusta Place (in a minor one-way-street maze so follow the car park signs) and I think it's run by NCP so it won't be cheap. I rather like the undecorated concrete outer walls (but I'm not too sure about the access tower). The additional parking to the back is soulless functionalism so I would class it as engineering but not architecture. The entrance to the AMF bowling alley is under the access tower to the left.
