Shops and church in Worthing, West Sussex
In Brighton Road, this image shows Victoria Buildings and Cornerstone Methodist Church, which occupies the site of the former Steyne Gardens Methodist Church. The curtain shop is by the junction with York Road.

Beach House Park
These gardens are owned by Worthing Borough Council. They were purchased from the Beach House Estate in December 1922 and opened to the public in Spring 1924. As well as formal flower gardens it has five automatically irrigated international class flat bowling greens, two outdoor chess/draughts boards and three tennis courts. On this sunny afternoon the bowling greens are being fully utilised.
