This terrace of four-storey houses ( ground floors now in use for retail and cafés ) was built in 1802 - 1805.
Number 11 was Grade II listed in 1949.

Marine Parade, Worthing
The Marine Parade site is a multi-use development facing the seafront in Worthing. It consists of a complex of reinforced concrete framed and concrete encased steel framed buildings and includes a multi-storey car park.

Montague Place at its junction with Montague Street
At this point the pedestrianised part of Montague Place meets the pedestrianised part of Montague Street. What at first glance appears to be a bandstand is, in fact, a covered area with seats. On the building on the left can be seen a CCTV security camera aimed in its direction. So this is the place to sit if you'd like to be on TV. The predominantly red brick wall on the right is the end wall of the local Woolworths store Image

Woolworths, 33-35 Montague Street
On a cold Sunday in December 2008 this large branch of Woolworths is still busy, but the store closing notices can be seen in the windows. The shop is in the pedestrianised part of Montague Street on the corner of Montague Place.

Woolworths, 33-35 Montague Street
This is the Montague Street store of Woolworths, on the corner of Montague Place and next to Shoe Zone. Woolworths has a number of stores in the Worthing area, including one at Broadwater Street West, but it seems they are all doomed to close shortly. The Montague Street store is large and in a prime shopping street, so is likely to be used by another large retailer. For another view of the store Image
