Low tide at East Worthing, West Sussex
The sun will be setting in less than an hour, and the light already has an orange glow as this photographer focusses on the birds which are active on the exposed sands. Brighton and Portslade are visible in the hazy skyline about ten miles distant, and the chalk cliffs east of Brighton are on the extreme right. The wooden groynes help reduce erosion and long-shore drift to the east of beach material.
