Old Milestone by the B6226 Chorley Old Road, Bolton parish
Carved stone post by the B6226, in parish of BOLTON (BOLTON District), Chorley Old Road, 250m Northwest of the Bob Smithy Inn, at the cross roads with Walker Fold Road / Old Kiln Lane, set in wall, on North side of road. Old Bolton stone erected by the Bolton & Nightingale turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Bob's Smithy Inn
At the corner of Chorley Old Road (B6226) and Walker Fold Road. There was once an actual smithy at the left hand corner, opposite the pub, from which the pub derives its name.
