One of the two decorative cast-iron swans forming the downpipe heads on this side of the building. There are a similar pair on the Bridgeman Road facade, although the downpipes are concealed within the building.

Decorative entrance
A very appropriate entrance to Swan Lane No. 3 Mill, Bolton. One of the best surviving complexes although a certain Mr Dibnah did shorten the chimney.
