Wilkinson Road, Sharples
The road was constructed on the site of the former Wilkinson's Sanatorium on Belmont Road. The sanatorium was previously the home of Thomas Wilkinson who, in 1908, donated the building to the people of Bolton together with £50,000 for its upkeep and treatment of TB patients.
