Steam engine in a cupboard
Tangyes inverted vertical single cylinder engine at George Taylor's brassworks, Bolton.
The works were demolished some time ago (possibly about 2006) and the engine was allegedly removed by the site's owner for private preservation.

A striking gabled and pinnacled front, built as St George's School in 1847-48 to the designs of James Greenhalgh, "an architect of some talent". Grade II listed.

George Taylor's Brass Foundry
Latterly S & S Engineering. Is home to a Tangye steam engine, derelict in a "cupboard". The owner arranged a meeting with Fred Dibnah, before he was quite so famous.
