Bolton Museum - steam engine
This single cylinder vertical engine was built by Thomas T Crook of Stanley Ironworks, Bolton and drove the works' pattern shop. On closure it was displayed in Bolton Museum but was taken off display following a reorganisation and is now in the Bolton steam Museum operated by the Northern Mill Engine Society. This shows it as displayed in the museum, complete with measures to stop it being turned over and trapping fingers.
