The former Lower Nags Head
The building was erected in 1927 by beer brewers Magee Marshall & Co. Ltd. to replace an older pub building of the same name. The company is identified on the stone plaque at the top of the building. Originally the pub was fronted by six Doric columns, but these have long gone. The pub finally closed its doors in 1989 and the building is now occupied by a bank.
