Weir on Holcombe Brook in Woodhey Valley
A number of locals told me about "the waterfall" upstream from Robin Road. The steps look too even for it to be natural and I suspect that it was probably constructed in the 18th of 19th century as a weir to serve one of the mills in the valley (perhaps the nearby Robin Road Cotton Mill).
