Winton: Apostolic Faith Church entranceway
The driveway to the

At the end of the driveway can be seen the signboard of the Hutchinson Memorial Hall.

Winton: snow in Muscliffe Road
This section of Muscliffe Road consists of a steepish descent followed by a similar ascent, and would have been quite hazardous just now.
This burst of snowfall was surprising, since it had started rainy this morning. This picture was taken at 11:49am, by which time the snowfall had been going on for a couple of hours. By nightfall, the main carriageways of all the roads were clear of snow and ice, making this the severest snowfall I think I have ever seen that had started and almost disappeared all on the same day.
Throughout the day, the BBC weather forecast suggested temperatures of about 2ºC and 'light rain'.

Winton: Apostolic Faith Church
This unassuming church is at 66 Muscliffe Road, tucked away behind the next few even numbers, and is the international headquarters of the Apostolic Faith Church – for in-depth discussion, see the Winton Community Forum page here: http://www.wintonforum.co.uk/apostolicfaithchurch.html . The chimney behind belongs to the

Winton: Sunlight laundry
The Sunlight laundry is on the evens side of Castle Road and thus stunts the progress of the even numbers considerably, compared to the odds. The nearer part of the building used to be a television retailer but is now a westerns dress hire outlet, a surprisingly narrow remit. The entrance to the laundry can be seen farther down, and the chimney is theirs too.

Winter in Winton
Looking along the westernmost section of Strouden Road at about 8:30 on a winter's morning. Many windscreens were iced by about 6 the previous evening.
The windscreens on the right-hand side of the road, as we look, will probably thaw some time before those on the left – the sun cannot reach the southern side of the road as it remains in the shadow of the houses.

Winton: sunset over Strouden Road
Strouden Road is typical of the Winton area - and indeed, of the Bournemouth suburbs in general - roads built shortsightedly without anticipating the eventual need for off-road parking facilities. Here we look along the western end, as the sun sets behind the facing houses of Muscliffe Road.

Winton: footpath L01 arrives at Midland Road
This public footpath runs the short distance from Wimborne Road to Midland Road, mainly by way of a driveway, and reaches the latter just in front of us.

Winton: RP Printers are demolished
This time last week this was a printing works! It is at 157 Strouden Road and presumably will be used to fill the unabating appetite for more housing.

Winton: squareabout in Pine Road
Roadworks by the gas board have produced this temporary roundabout-type junction where Pine (left-right) and Muscliff Roads meet. Motorists driving anything but the most standard of cars will have quite a tight manoeuvre to make some of the right turns.
