Bournemouth : Winton, Fitzharris Avenue
Fitzharris Avenue has some dangerous trees - I was walking along the road in the dark once whilst looking down sending a text and walking into one - nearly had my eye out.

Winton: a close-up of those shoes
Further to Image a fortnight earlier, we see a close-up of the shoes illustrated in Image, each set forming a small kink in the course of the wire. There are at least 14 pairs now, including four pairs together rather obscured here by the top of the most prominent tree. The following day, they were all removed (presumably by the telephone company which operates the wires).

Winton: more shoes over Heron Court Road
Two weeks after I took a picture (Image) of several pairs of shoes suspended from overhead telephone wires, they have gradually been added to, to the extent that there are now at least fourteen pairs above us as we walk along Heron Court Road. The following day they had been removed, presumably by the utility company who own the wires.

Winton: shoes over Heron Court Road
About a week ago there were two pairs of shoes suspended from the telephone wires that cross Heron Court Road. Today there are at least eight – two out of sight to the left.
