Poulner, The White Hart
Comfy pub at the junction of Southampton and Gorley Roads. Internally, three areas; games to left, two eating & drinking rooms middle and right. Pool, darts, TV, wood-burning stove. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Dorset Piddle Pointing Percy, Ringwood Best, Fortyniner. Junction of Southampton Road and Gorley Road, Poulner
This used to be the A31 entering Ringwood from the New Forest, before they built the Ringwood bypass. Gorley Road is on the left in front of the White Hart Inn. Southampton Road is now heavily traffic calmed and mainly residential.

Cottage at Gorley Road, Poulner, Ringwood c.1950
This cottage is no longer here; riddled with dry rot and goodness knows what else, it was demolished and replaced by two new houses on the vacant plot in comparatively recent times.
