This Elizabeth II-reign postbox is emptied at 4pm on weekdays and at 12:45pm on Saturdays – surprisingly the latest in the town on a Saturday, but nowhere near such on a weekday.

Ferndown Memorial and Garden of Memories, Ferndown
Situated in Peter Grant Way, near Ferndown Middle School. The Memorial is dedicated to Lt.John Thornton RM, who died whilst on active service in Afghanistan during 2008. The Memorial is also where local people will be honoured. For a close-up of the Memorial see Image
