Although the majority of housing in this area of West Moors comprises bungalows, there are occasional pockets of two-storey houses, as here, a turning off Uplands Road, leading to West Moors Plantation.

West Moors: postbox № BH22 159, Pinehurst Road
This little postbox, and the telegraph pole to which it is clasped, are supporting a large cobweb, full of flies, which is catching the sun ahead of the roof of Pinehurst Road Chapel. The box is emptied at 5pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays.

Westmoors Plantation
Only the western corner of the plantation is in this OS square; seen here, its southern boundary, birch with conifers behind. To the left, gardens of properties in Kingfisher Close. Note that the Forestry Commission's nearby sign states "Westmoors Plantation", while the area is West Moors.

West Moors: postbox № BH22 177, Heatherdown Way
This Elizabeth II-reign postbox basks in sunshine in the morning and afternoon but by 7:30 in the evening it is in the long shadow of the bungalow behind. The postbox is emptied finally at 5pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays.
