Beautiful spring sunshine enticed thousands of folks to the quay to enjoy a pint or fish and chips or ice cream. Everywhere motor bikes, motor boats and Mums. It's Mothers' Day.

The Jolly Sailor Public House, Poole Quay.
During world war 2, my father was in the Royal Marines serving on landingcraft. Just before setting sail for the Normandy beaches, his craft was docked outside the Jolly Sailor.
