Nottingham - Bournemouth West express, off the S&D, passing Parkstone
View westward, towards Broadstone and the Somerset & Dorset line from Bath via Templecombe: ex-LSW London etc. - Bournemouth - Weymouth main line, and branch from Broadstone, Wimborne etc. joined by the S&D at Broadstone Junction. The Summer Saturdays 07.35 from Nottingham Midland has run via Birmingham New St. and Bath Green Park, whence Stanier 5MT 4-6-0 No. 45286 (built 1936, withdrawn 3/65) - remarkably a Carlisle Upperby engine! - is working it to Bournemouth West (due 14.55).

View eastward, towards Bournemouth: ex-LSW London etc. - Southampton -Bournemouth - Weymouth main line. The locomotive is SR Maunsell Q class 0-6-0 (built 8/39, Lemaitre-fitted 11/47, withdrawn 3/65).
